Kate Cassidy is a 1991 graduate of the Algonquin College Graphic Design program and has brought her expertise to a variety of professional environments, including the high-tech sector, government and small design firms. Ms. Cassidy has developed skills across a variety of media platforms and uses the application of Visual Thinking as the foundation to all her work.
From process maps, conceptual models, project plans, knowledge management, and all forms of printed and electronic communications tools, she is a vital part of the visual communications process from concept to final production. Ms. Cassidy is skilled at producing graphical representations of legal, policy, organizational, and process structures, capturing complex relationships in clear, compelling visual products.
Over the course of her career, she has been leader of many project teams in charge of developing graphic and multimedia presentations. Ms. Cassidy has also taught courses at Algonquin College in the use of computer applications for design and in the preparation of multimedia presentations, and has delivered presentations and courses on the value and best practices of employing infographics in government communications. Kate has assisted clients in government and private sector departments to develop internal capacity for designing and producing infographics.
